Following the departure of Ruben de Abreu, who was called to serve as secretary at the Inter-European Division, the Union Committee met on Sunday, August 31, to elect a new president. This special committee was chaired by Barna Magyarosi, himself newly elected as Division president.
The choice fell on David Milard, the current secretary of our Union. Through his position within the Union’s executive committee, David is already familiar with most of the files, which will greatly facilitate his work.
But with the appointment of David Milard as president, the position of secretary became vacant. The committee therefore resumed its work and elected Philippe Leduc to this position. Those who have followed Philippe’s journey since he left Belgium know that he was until now responsible for the Youth Ministries (JA) of the Franco-Belgian Union.
His appointment once again brought the Committee back to work, this time to replace him in the Youth and Education Department. The choice fell on Stéphane Eucharis, outgoing Youth leader of the North France Federation.
In less than 24 hours, the structure of the Franco-Belgian Union thus took on a completely new look. All will have to adapt to their new roles, but they also know that they can count on the strength of the One they wish to serve. May we too be facilitators by supporting them through our prayers and our actions.
