Personal data that we process

The BLF processes your personal data by using our services and/or by providing it to us yourself.
Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • First and last name(s)
  • Sex
  • Date of birth
  • Address details
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Bank account number

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

The BLF processes the following special and/or sensitive personal data from you:

  • religion or belief (baptismal dates)
  • marital status (marriage and divorce data, family relationship)
  • health data (allergies, diseases, medicine use, etc.)
  • passport data
  • details of people younger than 16

Our websites and/or services (www.adventist.be and www.aj-ja.be) do not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years of age, unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we can not check if a visitor is older than 16. We therefore encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. The BLF processes your personal data for the following purposes:

The BLF does not take decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for persons. MS Exchange and MS Outlook, processing e-mails
MySQL, central address and data file
Ciel, accounting, processing of tithes, gifts and / or other financial transactions

How long we keep personal data

The BLF does not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. You have the right to be “forgotten”, but if you are a member of the Church, the following data will remain registered until you cancel your membership or you will be expelled from your membership:

  • Email address

Sharing personal data with third parties

The BLF will not sell your information to third parties and will only provide this information if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. Your data can be shared with other entities of the Seventh-day Adventist church, such as the Franco-Belgian Union and the Inter-European Division.
