HopeBible day

The arrival of spring was the perfect timing to organize a big HopeBible Day in the Brussels region. Thus, on March 22nd, 8 out of the 12 involved churches/groups took on the challenge in collaboration with the Training & Mission Department.

The day was divided into two parts. In the morning, a table was set up in the heart of Anderlecht. Many people stopped by, either to receive a book or a brochure, or a piece of fruit or a bottle of water. These ‘visits’ to the book table led to meaningful conversations; some people even asked for prayers. Almost all the books, whether in French, Dutch, English, Russian, or Arabic, were distributed.

Two other distribution points were planned in Brussels-Center and Woluwe, but as the permits were denied, the dedicated volunteers resorted to small mobile stands to reach out to residents and tourists. The distribution was less successful but was not without impact.

In the afternoon, a large flyer distribution was organized from four locations, focusing mainly on Woluwe. More than a hundred members, both from Brussels and beyond, helped distribute over 50,000 flyers inviting people to online Bible courses at www.hopebible.be.

This day reignited the passion of many of our members to share the Good News of salvation and renewal in Jesus Christ. If your church would like to organize a similar event, do not hesitate to contact David Carballo, head of the Training & Mission Department, or Felipe Delgado and Inge Pollin, responsible for the HopeBible and Word of Hope departments (formerly IEBC and ESDA), respectively.
