On September 19 a special baptismal service was held at the Adventist Church in Bruges. The three candidates for baptism were Anne Devriesse, Ovidiu Celestin, and Moïse Dushime. Anne, Ovidiu, and Moïse have been attending the Adventist Church in Bruges for about two years. After being warmly welcomed into the congregation, they developed a growing interest in studying the Bible more deeply. In response to God’s love and Jesus’ sacrifice for them, they decided to be baptized as a testimony of their faith.
The baptismal service was a beautiful and meaningful celebration. The congregation was delighted to officially welcome Anne, Ovidiu, and Moïse as members of our faith community.
On the same occasion, Brian Kumira, who had already been baptized in the Adventist Church in Zimbabwe, was also officially welcomed as a member of the Adventist Church in Bruges through profession of faith.
With gratitude, we look back on this special Sabbath and pray that Anne, Ovidiu, Moïse, and Brian may experience God’s presence and blessing as they continue their journey of faith.
