Compagnons’ day in Verviers and the Fagnes

On November 23, the church in Verviers once again hosted the traditional day in the Fagnes, primarily aimed at Senior Companions.

More than eighty people filled the church pews, praising God and taking time to discuss an important theme: what does it mean to be a Christian? Later, Jérôme Raucy led us in reflecting on the concept of justice, and especially on the love of God that frees us from the weight of our mistakes.

After a picnic lunch, the bravest among us set out for a walk in the heights of the Fagnes. A magnificent but cold walk… especially when a few snowballs found their way between scarves and necks. However, chilled muscles found comfort upon returning to the hall, where a mountain of pancakes and a lake of hot chocolate brought the day to a delightful close.

It was undoubtedly a successful day where young and old alike shared a rejuvenating and restorative Sabbath. A huge thank you to the members of Verviers for their warm hospitality and generosity of heart.
