Due to changes in school holidays, the winter camps were moved to autumn. From October 31 to November 3, two camps took place at the Hoge Rielen domain in Lichtaart.
The 36 Adventurers focused on the theme of Noah’s story. Through games, evening activities, and spiritual moments, they delved into this theme, particularly the concept of trust. Trust that Noah placed in God, even when he did not understand everything; trust that allowed him to save his family and move forward despite challenges.
The Adventurers had plenty to do to help Noah build the ark. They had to find materials, gather animals that were not always very cooperative, get them into the ark, and ensure they stayed there…
The 15 Pathfinders were also very active. Inspired by the well-known teen game ‘Among Us,’ the youngsters conducted many investigations to unmask impostors hiding among them and their leaders. This was done through collaborative games, an escape room, and a life-sized ‘Among Us.’
All these activities and the theme also encouraged them to reflect on their own lives: is there a saboteur or a teammate in my life? Am I sometimes a saboteur/teammate of my own life through my choices? How can I be a teammate for others and support them?
Both camps were highly successful and once again brought many memories to the young participants and their leaders. Thank you to everyone for their commitment.
