Since January 1st, Tibor Szilvasi has joined the pastoral team.
Tibor grew up in an Adventist family. He studied theology and accepted a pastoral calling in November 1981. He served as a pastor and as a radio ministry host/director in his home country, Hungary, for 15 years. He then turned to missionary service as the national director of ADRA. He later served as an administrator for 26 years, first in Pakistan and then in the Middle East.
He is married to Enikö, an accomplished cellist, and together they have three adult sons, two of whom live in Brussels. In 2023, he and his wife moved to Brussels to be closer to their sons.
Among his passions and hobbies are walking in nature, listening to music, and also teaching and preaching the Bible. His favorite Bible verse is found in Philippians 1:6:
“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.”
For several months, he has already been providing valuable support within some of our communities. He now officially joins the pastoral family as an active retiree and will take care of the International Church of Brussels and the Ghanaian group in Brussels.
