Great success for the technical training

The technical training day organized by the Training & Mission department on February 23 was a great success.

First, due to the number of participants: more than sixty members involved in technical fields, as well as some pastors, gathered in the building on Ernest Allard Street. On the downside, however, only 3 Dutch speakers joined the ranks.

Another positive aspect was the quality of the seven workshops presented by Jethro Camille, Paola Condemayta, Christophe De Clercq, David Elisabeth, David Redoute-Mahe, Mihai Tomescu, and Stéphane Vincent.

Two of these workshops addressed concrete technical aspects: streaming & post-production and sound management. Three others focused more on communication: websites, radio & podcasts, and social media. Finally, two workshops encouraged reflection: digital evangelism and artificial intelligence, with its risks and opportunities. Each workshop provided valuable insights and elements to incorporate. However, some participants requested a more in-depth exploration of certain topics.

It is therefore clear that this technical aspect has awakened in many the desire to share and engage. However, let us not forget that technology is merely a tool to reach people. It is important to remember that it is just an instrument for sharing THE good news of salvation in Jesus Christ.
