The working year of the Advent Youth is launched

On 6 and 7 September, around fifty youth workers gathered at the Domaine de Mozet for the 2024 edition of CLÉ (Convention des Leaders Engagés).

CLÉ has several objectives. Firstly, to inspire our young people with strong and motivating spiritual messages. So we listened attentively as Abigail Esquirolea developed two interesting aspects: the strength of unity based on the text of the Tower of Babel, and the charitable and selfless actions that should give way to words. This will give us food for thought about how we function, both as young people and as a Church.

Another of CLÉ’s aims is to provide a platform for discussion and information for youth workers. Various stands are available, as well as a presentation of the material available. The ‘old hands’ are also there to advise the ‘new hands’ and pass on the torch as effectively as possible.

This season’s theme is ‘Creating links, building bridges’. To put this new slogan into practice, Jérôme Raucy, our federal JA manager, has organised a team-building game to create links between entertainers who don’t necessarily know each other. The avowed aim is that the various local troupes will in turn be able to organise joint activities in the months to come. The game ended with a beautiful illustration: all the sticks collected and representing each presenter were assembled to form a bridge!

Don’t hesitate to support our young people and leaders during this new season. The program and specific information on future activities are available on the www.aj-a.be website.
