Family service in Antwerp

On Sabbath, March 29, a so-called “family service” took place under the leadership of Guisèle Berkel in the Antwerp church. It was a service where church members invited friends and family to participate. The theme was “The Family Picnic,” and Guisèle beautifully, creatively, and interactively connected it with the story of the miraculous feeding in Mark 8. The idea was that Jesus didn’t let anyone go home hungry, which was part of the hospitable culture of that time. Young and old took part.

The guests—friends, colleagues, and relatives who came to the service—joined in enthusiastically and said they had enjoyed it and felt welcome. Afterwards, there was a cake buffet with all kinds of treats made by various church members, and visitors received a small farewell picnic bag with snacks and drinks. It was a successful service, and we look forward to organizing it again in the future!
