Federal changes as of January 1

This new year has not only brought snow. Several changes came into effect on January 1.

First, we note the departure of Pastor Ricardo Pereira. Employed since July 2016, Ricardo is leaving us after 10 years within our Federation. His enthusiasm for sharing the Gospel will certainly remain in our memories. Ricardo is above all a man of the field, who loves to share his faith—a missionary in the true sense of the word. We thank him and his family for these years of service and friendship and wish them all the best, both for their family and for the continuation of their mission.

For several months, Pastor Tibor Szilvasi had already been providing valuable support in the management of the International Church and the Ghanaian group. Since January 1, he has officially joined the pastoral staff as an active retiree. You can find his introduction in the article “Getting to Know Tibor Szilvasi.”

The Youth Department is also being strengthened thanks to Raquel Archila, a member of the La Louvière church, who has agreed to take responsibility for the Children’s Ministry (MAE) department in collaboration with Jérôme Raucy.

Finally, one last important piece of news: the creation of a new “Media & Communications” department, which will be coordinated by David Carballo. The objective is to intensify communication, both internally and externally, notably through videos for our members as well as for people who do not have a direct connection with the church. To this end, a temporary studio will be set up in the near future while awaiting the longer and more complex construction of the studio in Braine-l’Alleud. More details will follow in the coming weeks.
