Training in Lifestyle coaching

From Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28, 2024, the Brussels Center Church welcomed 32 participants from Belgium and France for a lifestyle coaching training course. Katia Garcia Reinert, Deputy Director of the Health Department at the General Conference, offered a series of workshops involving intense discussions. She enabled participants to upgrade their various coaching methods and get acquainted with new tools in this field.

There are four gifts that a coach must be able to bestow on the person he or she is coaching:

– a perspective resulting from an accurate analysis of the situation
– their presence
– clarity of thought
– and support during the lifestyle change process

All these gifts are based on the method of Christ, who used to ask those who were suffering: “What do you want me to do for you?” Through a dialogue that reflects God’s heart – that is, listening without divulging advice or passing judgment – the patient ends up spontaneously expressing the exact change they wish to undertake in their life.

The training was organized by Dr. Violeta Tudor, Director of the Health Department in our Federation.
