ADRA-Belgium cancels acitivities

Following government decisions and to limit the spread of the coronavirus, all group activities and meetings planned under ADRA are canceled or postponed until further notice. Without panicking, be careful, respect the hygiene rules imposed and avoid gatherings.

The ADRA Belgium office will however remain active to maintain its support for the most vulnerable people in Belgium and abroad.

In this difficult period where the tendency is towards fear and selfishness, let us remain united, let us take care of the most vulnerable, whether with family or those around us. Many elderly people will be left alone, let’s think of them. Small gestures (shopping, phone calls, etc.) can make a difference. We therefore encourage you to act locally within your Church for your elders, because it is in difficult times that we can see the strength of a community. Let us not forget that our Churches are not made of stone but that they are built on the sharing of the Gospel which testifies to the love of our neighbor.

Let’s also have a thought for all those people around the world who are going through this crisis with no way of sheltering, making reservations or having access to basic care and medicine. Your support is therefore essential so that the ADRA network can continue to help the most vulnerable affected by this crisis beyond our borders…
