The Federation’s Training & Mission Pole organized a training session on Sunday, February 15, devoted to the topic of Ellen G. White, with Sully Payet as the guest speake, professor at our University of Theology in Collonges and director of the Spirit of Prophecy Department of the Inter-European Division.
More than 50 people from different churches and language backgrounds across Belgium and Luxembourg attended the event, reflecting the continued interest this topic generates in our communities. Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to explore several key aspects related to the life and writings of Ellen G. White.
Among the topics covered were What We Believe and What We Don’t Believe about EGW, The Human Side of EGW, and How to Interpret EGW. The session concluded with a time for questions and answers, allowing attendees to share their concerns and engage openly with important issues.
One of the most valuable contributions of this training was the invitation to approach this subject with openness, balance, and spiritual maturity. In a context where extreme positions or misunderstandings can sometimes arise, it was especially meaningful to emphasize the need to address the topic with a reflective, biblical, and constructive attitude.
It is also worth noting that this same training was held the day before, on Saturday, February 14, specifically for the Hispanic district. On that occasion, more than 100 members from the four Hispanic churches in Belgium gathered for this time of teaching, reflection, and exchange.
These initiatives confirm the desire to continue offering solid training opportunities for the church, where meaningful topics for faith and community life can be addressed while promoting unity, dialogue, and a deeper understanding of our spiritual heritage.
