Eliezer Oliveira grew up in Brazil in a large family that has been deeply involved in the Church for three generations. His father is also a pastor.
Eliezer himself felt called to pastoral ministry, and immediately after completing his theology studies, he went to the United States as an assistant pastor working with youth. During that time, he also began training to become a chaplain, a role he fulfilled until his arrival in Belgium, developing strong listening skills and empathy along the way.
His desire to continue learning led him to earn an MBA (Master of Business Administration). He also holds a degree in crisis management. The years passed, filled with rich experiences but also many challenges.
While visiting his cousin in Berlin at the end of 2022, she suggested that he come work in Europe. The idea gradually took root and soon became a genuine calling. However, the path was marked by administrative obstacles and challenges related to the culture and way our Federation operates. In fact, over the past two years, Eliezer has made many trips back and forth between the United States and Brussels, juggling time differences and jet lag.
But Eliezer knows he can rely on our Lord and on his wife Sabrina, with whom he shares the same vision. Eliezer is also passionate about evangelism through media. He plays the saxophone, clarinet, bassoon, and flute. Despite his Brazilian background, his humor is rather “British,” and he has an introverted personality.
Since May 1st, he has officially been in charge of the Portuguese-speaking and Spanish-speaking churches in Brussels, as well as the Nosso Refugio group.
