Dear brothers and sisters,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing away of Valérie Ballieux. Her departure leaves a great void at all levels within our federation; she was one of the pillars of the Church organization in our territory. Her death occurred last Saturday in the late afternoon. Our thoughts and prayers especially go out to her family, and to all her loved ones, church members, friends, and colleagues in the ministry who are grieving her passing.
The funeral service will take place in the strictest family privacy. We thank you for scrupulously respecting the family’s wishes and for forwarding this information along to the members of your respective communities.
Given the place Valérie held both in our hearts and within our organization, we are preparing a memorial service that will be held at the French-speaking Brussels church (ground floor, Rue Ernest Allard 11, 1000 Brussels) this Saturday, June 27, at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Many of us plan to travel to Brussels for the occasion, and we are delighted by this tremendous support. Unfortunately, it will be very hot, and the service will last more than an hour (1.30). That is why we would like to remind you that the service will be streamed live in its entirety via the following YouTube link:
Those who prefer to follow the service online will be just as much in communion of prayer, even from a distance. We will experience this in fraternal unity. For those who wish to attend in person, despite the less comfortable conditions, please bring a filled water bottle.
For those who wish to leave a short note to offer condolences to the family or pay a final tribute to Valérie, you may do so via the online registry accessible at the following link. These messages will then be forwarded to the family.

We remain united in fellowship and prayer during these painful moments we are going through together.
Fraternally in Christ,
